Pyrite 'snowman'

Item Description

Three stacked cubes of lustrous Pyrite crystals from the well-known locality of La Rioja, Spain. These bright, brassy Pyrite cubes are aesthetically intergrown and show traces of growth hillocks on the crystal faces. Very trivial edge wear locally and the area of connection between the two larger Pyrite crystals exhibit corner dings but aren’t on the display side. The largest cube is 3.6cm on edge and there are two small, cubes present on the lower face for added interest. Clusters like these are invariably reinstated on-site when collected. Common material, for sure - but a particularly elegant specimen for the size!
