Pyrite (rarely seen faceted stone)

This is a certainly a rarity in the gem world. Pyrite is one of the most commonly known minerals to collectors in crystal form, but this is one of only a handful of FACETED Pyrites that I've had to offer. The stone has the characteristic brassy metallic Pyrite color, and comes from Spain, which is famous for its outstanding cubic crystals found at Navajun. We obtained this stone directly from a well-known dealer, so we're know it's genuine. It was difficult to accurately duplicate the color of the stone in the photos, but it is a cool gem, and would definitely fit a spot in an "opaque" stone collection. The stone has a "step emerald" cut.
