Superb, walnut-shaped (and sized) Pyrite from the Rhomberg Quarry in Austria. The Pyrite is a full 3.8 cm, and it has as pure of a rich, golden color as you could want. This would be the ultimate Fool's Gold nugget if you happen to come across it. The metallic luster is excellent, and the slightly uneven, rounded surface does have hints of crystal faces that simply sparkle. Highly aesthetic, it sits beautifully on top of the dense grey shale. The work to expose this Pyrite was well done. Rare locality piece, lustrous, aesthetic, and pretty on a shelf!
