Item Description
A very rare locality specimen of notably spherical sparkling iridescent metallic golden Pyrite labeled as coming from Rettigheim a village in Mühlhausen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. This is the only specimen we've seen labeled from this area. I don't know if you would call this a Pyrite concretion, but it does have attractive form, reminiscent of a concretion. A cool thumbnail specimen for any fan of Pyrites, German minerals or oddball localities.
From prestigious collection of Alex Schauss, a lifelong thumbnail mineral collector, whose collection we recently purchased ( https://www.irocks.com/collector-interview-alex-schauss )
