Item Description

This well-known Ohio limestone quarry is famous for rare diploid pyrites crystals (crystals having 24 faces). This striking and excellent combination features a sculptural vug richly lined with sharp, bright, brassy pyrite diploids, to 4 mm, and very complimentary pearlescent saddle-shaped dolomite rhombs. The base has been sawed to enhance the outstanding display quality of this very fine and rare combination. Choice material from the Robert Nowakowski Collection and collected in July, 2011, according to his label.
