Item Description
An old-time, classic and excellent combination plate from the famed Leonard Mine at Butte. Mirror-bright, brass-yellow, pyrite pyritohedrons are scattered amongst the forest of upright, water-clear, quartz spikes, to 2.8 cm. An outstanding accent is the 2.0 cm nest of splendent, metallic-gray, enargite crystals. The interior of the piece is in super shape, with periphery wear noted on the fringe. Highly desirable, old-time, combo material, as one label has an October, 1960 date written on it. Ex Robert Jenkins Collection, a noted Butte specialist; and later the Robert Whitmore Collection. Valued at $500-650.
