Pyrite & Quartz (2012 find)

Item Description

A stunning, sharp, 4.0 x 3.8 x 3.8, splendent, brass-yellow pyritohedron with impressive striated faces is dramatically set in the drusy quartz matrix with smaller pyrites on this aesthetic specimen from a less well-known Peru polymetallic mine. The large crystal is nearly pristine in the display view, with only two small edge bruises, which are certainly only a modest detraction. This sculptural piece is from a small late 2012 find and displays beautifully without aid.
