Scintillating, mirror-bright, well-striated, pyrite pyritohedrons to 6 mm fill the vuggy front of this showy combination specimen from the famous mines at Butte. Scattered matte-gray, galena cubes to 4 mm are a nice accent. The matrix on this classic and excellent old-timer is microcrystalline pyrite with some galena. Ex Robert Whitmore Butte Collection.
