Item Description
The Huanzala Mine of Peru has arguably produced the world's finest pyrites and this specimen is a fine example. Intergrown, mirror-bright, very well-striated, brassy pyritohedrons comprise this showy specimen. The striking large crystal on the end is 4.4 cm across. Contacting is noted, but the crystals themselves, are in fine shape, with only a trivial bit of brusing. Highly representative material from this famed locale. Ex Robert Fender Collection, dating to the 1970s.
