Item Description
The Huanzala Mine of Peru has arguably produced the world's finest pyrites and this specimen is an outstanding example. Mirror-bright, brass-yellow, intergrown, distinctively striated, pyritohedrons cover the sculptural specimen. The largest crystal is 3.3 cm The textbook form and intense luster are top notch. Nearly pristine, trivial scattered edgewear is noted, but is certainly not a detraction. Classic Huanzala material. Specimens of this quality came out in the 1970s and 80s. Ex Robert Fender Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
