Item Description

A large, lustrous, brass-yellow, pyrite crystal from the famous iron mines of Elba. The sharp, complete all-around, near floater, crystal has texbook pyritohedral form and very interesting, stepped-growth modifications to the crystal faces. The back is very unusually etched, has a bit of embedded hematite and just a bit of minor bruising is noted. Classic, old-time material from the Gene Meieran Collection.
