Item Description
An excellent, large pyrite specimen from the ancient iron mines at Rio Marina, Elba. The textbook pyritohedron has mirror-bright, brass-yellow luster. Sparkly, specular hematite coats some of the faces. Contacting and periphery wear are noted, but this remains a dramatic, old-time and highly representative pyrite specimen from this historic locale.
