Item Description
A gorgeous association specimen from the famed Stari Trg Mine in the Trepča complex of Kosovo. This piece features attractive pseudo-hexagonal crystals of what was originally Pyrrhotite, but has been pseudomorphed by metallic golden Pyrite measuring up to about 1.4 cm across, which are associated with beautiful light pink "balls" of Rhodochrosite measuring up to 4 mm across, sitting on little Quartz crystals on matrix. The pseudomorphs are not jus single crystals, but little "rose"-esque groups, a very pleasing form. No major damage I can see, and the contrast of the metallic pseudomorphs against the gentle pink Rhodos makes for a great effect.
