Item Description

Classic and sculptural large pseudomorph combination from the historic Stari Trg Mine at Trepca. Striking pseudomorphs of brilliant, brassy pyritohedrons after pseudo-hexagonal pyrrhotite crystals, to 3.5 cm, are aesthetically and dramatically set atop the mounded field of needle quartz crystals. This sculptural two-sided piece is nicely complemented by the 1.2 cm, twinned, jet-black sphalerite crystal on the back of the piece. Overall in excellent shape. A broken pseudomorph is out-of-sight on the right side in the primary frontal view and the scattered broken quartz points on the front and back are certainly only a modest detraction.
