Surreal and uncommon small cabinet combination from this porphyry, skarn and stratabound Cu-Mo Chinese deposit. A striking cluster of intensely sparkly, golden, microcrystalline Pyrite stalactites is aesthetically set on the sculptural matrix partially covered with Calcite crystals. The long stalactite is 3.0 cm. Broken tips on some of the stalactites reveal the hollow tubes where the precipitating iron-rich fluids flowed, adding character. Scattered broken and bruised stalactites are noted, but have minimal impact to the overall highly unusual quality of the piece. The pyrite stalactites have pseudomorphed an unknown species. An ADDED bonus is the unknown coating on the lower left of the piece, that fluoresces neon-green under both LW and SW UV light.
