Item Description

Mineral specimens are rare from this obscure sulfide mine in Chihuahua. Sparkly dark brassy pyrite pseudomorphs striking narrow, peak-like crystals of elongated pyrrhotite (classic for the locality, but rare in this replacement form by pyrite) along the skyline and coats the mounded matrix with super accents of small knob-like clusters of dogtooth calcite spikes. There is massive sphalerite in the matrix. Rare and showy large material from the Consie Prince Collection and dates to the 1970s or 80s.
