Item Description

The famous mines at Santa Eulalia are well-known for unusual pseudomorphs and this is a striking and excellent example from the James Zigras Mexico Collection. A striking, sharp, well-placed, 4.3 cm, hexagonal pyrrhotite crystal has been pseudomorphed by bright brassy pyrite. The pristine pseudo is peppered with tiny sparkly galena cuboctahedrons and rests on a mounded matrix of sphalerite, pyrrhotite, galena and quartz. A rare and very fine combination pseudo from the 10th Level Silicate Orebody of the famous El Pososi Mine.
