Pyrite on Siderite (Soregaroli Coll.)

Intergrown, large, lustrous, moderately translucent, tapered olive-green siderite disks form an impressive sculptural specimen on this excellent example from this famed locale. The sprinkling of tiny brassy pyrite crystals adds pizzazz. The largest siderite is 5.4 cm. Complete all-around. The interior is pristine. The noted periphery wear on a couple of sides is certainly only a modest detraction to this aesthetic piece, that has several fine display views. Choice material from the Art Soregaroli Collection, with even the mine level known. Interestingly, the angled back was flat casted against a very large crystal.
