Item Description
Classic and sculptural old 19th Century pyrite on siderite from this old iron mine, first worked around 1820. Sharp, lustrous, brassy pyritohedrons, to 1.0 cm, are richly and attractively peppered on the striking jackstraw cluster of intergrown oxide-coated flattened siderite rhombs. The rhombs reach 3.5 cm.
