Pyrite on Quartz stalactite

Item Description

Brassy, lustrous spheres of intergrown pyrite pyritohedrons are scattered on the quartz crystal stalactite on this striking and showy combination from a small find in 2007-2008. Only two smaller pyrite balls are bruised and a bit of quartz side wear is noted on this impressive 360-degree piece. This is actually a quartz column, as both ends were contacted against the vug walls.
