Item Description

A rare and showy combination plate from Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Lustrous, brassy,striated, pyrite cubes and cuboctahedrons are nicely scattered in a bed of glassy, frosted quartz crystals. Bruising is noted to the quartz field, however, in the context that quartz is rare and is very rarely available from this locale, this remains an excellent example of this very uncommon combination species.
