Item Description
A shiny, sharp, mirror-bright, brass-yellow, 2.3 x 2.1 x 1.9 cm, pyritohedron is dramatically set atop the sculptural small cabinet magnesite ore matrix. A smaller 1.0 pyritohedron is a super accessory and complement. The large pyrite is very nearly pristine, with only one small bruise, which is certainly only a modest detraction. This famous Austrian magnesite and talc deposit is well-known for world-class Strontianite specimens and excellent pyrites, such as this. Classic and excellent matrix pyrite from Oberdorf, rare in this quality.
