An impressive, 2.7 x 2.6 x 2.5 cm, lustrous, bronzy, compound pyrite cuboctahedron is jauntily perched on thin matrix covered with hydrocarbon-coated calcite rhombs. The pristine pyrite has fine form and a striking skeletal face. An aesthetic and exceptional, 360-degree combination from this well-known extinct carbonate aggregate quarry. Modest yellow-orange hydrocarbon fluorescence.
