Item Description
A striking, excellent and most uncommon, large calcite combination specimen from this well-known Hungarian lead-zinc mine. Scintillating pyrite pyritohedrons are preferentially festooned on the unusual looking calcite scalenohedrons. These highly lustrous, translucent, white crystals have nifty and unusual-looking, stepped-growth faces of spear point-shaped, flattened rhombs, that look just the leaves of an artichoke bulb! The pearlescent crystal form with attendent sparkly pyrites is really eye-catching. This combination style is rare from this locale. Mild pink fluorescence for added pizzazz. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $400, five or more years ago.
