Butte pyrite compares favorably with any world locality for quality and this is a very fine example from the Robert Whitmore Butte Collection. This striking plate consists of sharp, mirror-bright, brassy, octahedrons to 2.9 cm. Slightly modified terminations are noted, which adds character. Pristine, except for modest peripherywear. Classic, older and desirable Butte material and it displays well from several angles.
