Item Description
Mirror-bright, brass-yellow, pyrite octahedrons form a showy and classic, old-time specimen from the famous mines at Butte. The octos are coated with an unknown euhedral to botryoidal dark mineral. We believe it is probably bornite, but if it is goethite or hematite, which it resembles, this would be a VERY RARE combination specimen. Ex Harold Urish Collection # 88 and is undoubtably older material. The octahedrons are classic and excellent Butte.
