Pyrite (interesting habit)

Item Description

Here is one of the more interesting finds from around 2005 in Bolivia. Typically, Bolivian Pyrite is not found in attractive, displayable, well-crystallized specimens. This however is one of the better specimens I've offered of this material in the action. The specimen almost completely undamaged on the display side (save the top edge which is contaced) and is loaded with several cubes modified by octohedra and trapezohedra which is a rather uncommon crystal habit for this rather common sulfide. The largest crystal measures 9 mm across. All of the Pyrite crystals have good luster.
