Item Description

An important and extremely large pyrite cube from the famous Sweet Home Mine. Pyrite is a common accessory to the renowned rhodos, but FEW reach over 1.0 cm. This 1.8 x 1.7 x 1.2 cm cube has bright brassy luster with well striated faces. The cube is nicely set on a thin quartz plate and is aesthetically accented with a "crown" of tetrahedrite and quartz points above the coating of tiny quartz points. The cube faces are embedded with tetrahedrites, adding character. A VERY RARE and outstanding large pyrite thumbnail from this famed locale. The largest known is over 4 cm. A MUST for the locality or species collector.
