Item Description
Pyrite specimens are VERY RARE from the mines of this extinct Soviet-era uranium mining area. This is an amazing, perhaps UNIQUE large sawed and polished half of a pyrite nodule or concretion! The polished brassy face has very high lustre and the outer nubby rind is sparkly with pyrite microcrystals. Hefty mass is 2300 grams or 5.1 pounds. From an old collection. Fascinating, bizarre looking and RARE large pyrite from the locale.
