Item Description
A beautiful crystallized specimen of what are some of the finest Pyrites in the world. The piece features several fantastic, highly lustrous, brilliant, brassy golden colored pyritohedra of Pyrite measuring up to 3.3 cm across with no matrix. I love the gentle striation lines on the crystals, giving them character and an extra layer of visual appeal. The highly reflective splendent luster on every face is about as bright as it gets for Pyrite. The photos simply do not do the piece justice, as the impressive nature of the crystals along with the overall visual appeal are truly difficult to capture with a camera. Some small imperfections / nicks are visible, so the piece is not 100% pristine, and it's understandably contacted on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall, but it's still a wonderful example of how bright and beautiful Pyrite can be.
