Characterically curved, lustrous, brassy, pyrite cubes in bubbly clusters cover the front of the breccated matrix on this amazingly sculptural large specimen from the historic and extinct French Creek Mines. This dramatic piece looks like a long-necked turtle or swan with an uplifted head! The iron mines operated intermittently from 1717 to 1928!
