Item Description
A nice reference suite of three specimen of cubic brassy Pyrite from Chester, Vermont. All crystals are thumbnails with the largest measuring 2.9 x 2.6 x 1.6 cm down to the smallest at 1.3 x 1.2 x 0.9 cm. None of the crystals are completely perfect as they show edge wear and contacts here and there. It's a nice pickup for the old time material, and a good group of crystals representative of the locality. The pieces come from an old East Coast collection with a label from the private collection of Raymond Schortmann of Schortmann's Minerals, but it's not an inventory label, the pieces are actually from his personal collection.
