Item Description

One of the top combination pieces from this small 2001 roadcut locality find. Lustrous, chocolate-brown hematite coats the "corsage" of sharp, cockscomb, marcasite blades and the "bulb" of sharp pyrite crystals growing epitaxial on the "stalk" of lustrous, dolomite rhombs. This is an aesthetic, decidedly floral, rare and fine combination specimen from this one-time Michigan find near an old iron mine in the Upper Peninsula.
