Item Description
Pyrite cuboctahedrons are uncommon compared to the generally seen pyritohedrons from the famous mines at Butte. This is an aesthetic intergrown cluster of lustrous, brassy, well-striated crystals, to 2.5 cm. Collected in 1972, according to the previous dealer label. This must have been a significant find, as even the mine level is known from the famous Leonard Mine. The piece looks great without aid and is essentially pristine.
