Item Description
The Huanzala Mine of Peru has arguably produced the world"s finest pyrites and this aesthetic specimen is an excellent example. Mirror-bright, brass-yellow, intergrown, pyrite cuboctahedrons form the sculptural specimen. The largest crystal is 4.5 cm. The textbook form, with interesting modifications and intense luster are top notch and bit of etching adds character. Very nearly pristine. Trivial bruising and scattered periphery wear are noted, but are certainly not a detraction. Classic Huanzala material with 360-degree visual appeal! Specimens of this quality came out in the 1970s and 80s. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! Ex Larry Krause dealer stock.
