Item Description
An AMAZING pyrite concretion from a NEW Chinese find. This striking, slightly flattened ball of parallel bands of sparkly pyrite microcrystals on shale looks like a handwoven basket or clay pot inset with pieces of precious metal. The concentration of pyrite on the "lid" has a striking look. A unique and very showy specimen! Our Chinese source was able to come up with one more flat of this highly desirable and very unusual material.
