Item Description
A surreal looking, slightly oval pyrite on shale concretion from recent Chinese finds a decade ago. The small, sparkling, sharp, modified, metallic Pyrite crystals have formed in amazingly concentric "rings" or "bands" on a "sphere" of shale. The specimen resembles some kind of strange planet, and almost has an organic look to it. Two small attachment/contact points are certainly only a modest detraction to this bizarre specimen. These fairly new and incredibly interesting Pyrite concretions are some of the most unique specimens that I have seen from any locality. A very cool "floater" specimen and certainly unusual.
