Item Description
These fascinating Chinese pyrite concretions from finds about 10 years ago are certainly among the most whimsical specimens found in the recent past. Tiny, sparkling, sharp, modified, metallic Pyrite crystals have formed in amazingly concentric "rings" or "bands" on a "sphere" of shale. The pristine floater specimen resembles some kind of strange planet, and almost has an organic look to it. They are some of the most unique specimens that I have seen from any locality. China never fails when it comes to producing exciting, unusual and unique material. A striking, surreal specimen.
