Item Description
These surreal Pyrite concretions are some of the most unique specimens that we have seen from any locality. The small, sparkling, sharp, modified, metallic Pyrite crystals have formed in amazingly concentric "rings" or "bands" on a slightly oval "sphere" of shale. The specimen resembles some kind of strange planet, and almost has an organic look to it. A very cool "floater" specimen and certainly unusual. A few small contacts/scuffs are out-of-sight in the primary display view. NOTE: I bought these in 2013 and we have seen no more of quite this style for sale since early 2015 in China, so this find may be over. A fascinating specimen of a very common species. We found a few more stashed away in the warehouse.
