Item Description

These fairly new and incredibly interesting Pyrite concretions are some of the most unique specimens that I have seen from any locality. The small, sparkling, sharp, modified, metallic Pyrite crystals have formed in amazingly concentric "rings" or "bands" on a "sphere" (it's actually a bit more egg-shaped) of shale. The specimen resembles some kind of strange planet, and almost has an organic look to it. A very cool "floater" specimen and certainly unusual.
