Item Description

These fairly new and incredibly interesting pyrite concretions are some of the most unique specimens that I have seen from any locality. The small, sparkling, sharp, modified, metallic pyrite crystals have formed in amazingly concentric "rings" or "bands" on a flattened "sphere" of shale. There are also some isolated spots of pyrite on the piece as well, creating an interesting overall effect. The specimen resembles some kind of strange planet, and almost has an organic look to it. A very cool "floater" specimen and certainly unusual, as this one has an attachment point on one end..
