Item Description
Exotic and very unusually shaped pyrite on shale concretion from recent Chinese finds a decade ago. Most specimens of this type are ball or oval shaped. This striking small cabinet has a definite triangular, flattened form. Pyrite crystals have formed in amazingly concentric "rings" or "bands" on the triangular shale concretion. The pristine specimen resembles a decorated basket. These fairly new and incredibly interesting Pyrite concretions are some of the most unique specimens that I have seen from any locality. A very cool "floater" specimen and certainly unusual.
