Peruvian Pyrites are among the finest examples of the species ever found. The classic specimens from the Huanzala Mine are certainly regarded as some of the most impressive crystallized examples of Pyrite out there. This beautiful small cabinet is filled with robust, highly splendent, bright brassy pyritohedral crystals of Pyrite measuring up to 4.1 cm across and free of matrix. The mirror-like luster combined with the gentle, striations and metallic aspect of the crystals gives the piece a character that is rarely seen in minerals, as sulfides are seldom this shiny and reflective. There are a few minor imperfections on the display side, so it's not completely undamaged, but it's still incredibly showy and three-dimensional, and looks great when displayed. Valued at $750-$900 .
