Item Description

Pyrite is an incredibly well-known mineral, that is found in a wide variety of different crystal habits and morphologies. It's also one of the most abundant sulfides on Earth, reported from literally thousands of localities. Amazingly, perhaps the most well-known example of Pyrite are the superb specimens from Navajun, Spain, which are arguably the most easily recognizable and iconic display specimens of Pyrite in the world. This locality is mined almost exclusively for its Pyrite crystals, which are world famous and well known among collectors. The classic textbook cubes are about as good as you will find for the species, both in terms of quality and quantity. They are highly attractive, and arguably the finest crystallized representations of the species. This piece features a razor-sharp, highly lustrous, metallic soft golden color cubes of Pyrite measuring 2. cm on edge aesthetically flaring off matrix. A great piece of these world-famous Pyrites.
