Item Description

Pyrite is one of the most abundant sulfides on Earth, and is literally found in thousands of localities. It's also a diverse species in terms of crystal habits and combinations/modifications. With that said, the Pyrites from Navajun are arguably the most easily recognizable and iconic display specimens in the world. This locality is mined almost exclusively for its Pyrite crystals, which are world famous and well known among collectors. The classic textbook cubes are about as good as you will find for the species, both in terms of quality and quantity. They are highly attractive, and arguably the finest crystallized representations of the species. This piece features a few razor-sharp, highly lustrous, metallic soft golden color cubes of Pyrite measuring up to 2.6 cm on edge aesthetically flaring off matrix. A great piece of these world-famous Pyrites.
