Item Description
A gorgeous full cabinet sized display specimen of the classics Pyrites from the Quiruvilca Mine featuring intergrown octahedral crystals with attractive "stepped" faces, and a notable iridescence on the surface.. The faces are rather sharp, with GREAT luster, and a bit darker hue for the species due to a bit of oxidation/patina on the surface. . The overall aesthetics and elegant form of the piece make it a fantastic Pyrite specimen from this classic Peruvian locality. It displays very well, and truly stands out among countless other "boring" Pyrites I have seen from this mine. The largest crystal measures 2.7 cm
Valued $1,000.
Ex John Dagenais Collection.
