Item Description

The classic Pyrite specimens from the famed Huanzala Mine in Peru are among the best and most abundant examples of the species ever found. Peru for many decades has consistently produced a good number of fine quality and showy Pyrite specimens, and this piece is a great example of said material This wonderful miniature display specimen features high quality, very sharp, splendent, light golden color metallic modified pyritohedral crystals measuring up to 3.7 cm across. The display side of the specimen is in good shape, but small imperfections can be found. The back of the piece is also crystallized, though there are also some bruises that can be seen where the was separated from the pocket wall. Overall, the piece is eye-catching and good quality. This is a newer specimen from a find dating back a few years.
