Five razor sharp, mirror-bright, metallic, soft golden pyrite cubes are very aesthetically intergrown on the sculptural matrix. The large cube is 2.6 cm and there is another smaller isolated cube on the lower right of the cluster. Pyrites from Navajun are one of the most easily recognizable and iconic display specimens in the world. They are highly attractive, and arguably the finest crystallized representations of the species. This locality is mined almost exclusively for its pyrite crystals, which are world famous and well known among collectors. Note that, as with most such specimens, the pyrites often come out in cleaning and preparation and are repaired back into place, as seems here.
