Item Description

This well-known and abandoned mine is famous for outstanding pyrite specimens and this is a very fine small cabinet from the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection. A striking, 1.8 x 1.0 x 0.8 cm, elongate cubic monolith crowns this aesthetic mounded cluster of highly lustrous, lightly striated, brass-yellow cubes. The crestal cube has a trivial bit of corner wear and a spot of periphery wear is noted on the left side, which are certainly modest detractions to this excellent and classic piece. Exchanged from the Camboui Collection in 1968.
