Item Description
The Huanzala Mine of Peru has arguably produced the world's finest pyrites and is an excellent example. This striking, large, cleavage cube has mirror-bright, brass-yellow, color with intense, undulating, stepped-growth faces. A couple of non-striated faces really add character. The textbook form, intense color, luster and striations are top notch. Classic Huanzala material with several excellent display views! Specimens of this quality came out in the 1970s and 80s. Ex Larry Krause Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
